bReel Competition

bstreetsmart invites students to create a fun road safety video using the concept of an Instagram Reel. Competition Terms and Conditions can be downloaded along with the marking criteria.

Students can use their favourite editing app to produce their bReels. The files can then be sent to their teacher as a MOV or MP4 file. If the files are too large to email, you can use content management software to share the files, such as Dropbox or Google Drive which enables teachers to send out a link to students so that they can upload the files directly. Teachers can then upload the videos below to enter.

Please ensure that the video file is named correctly with the title of the video, the students first names and the school’s name.
Successful applicants will have their bReel uploaded to bstreetsmart’s social media platforms including Instagram and Facebook. They will also be shown on the big screen during the live event in August.

Please note videos that exceed 120 seconds, or are not in landscape, or are not original, or have inappropriate content, or do not align with bstreetsmart road safety message, or does not contain one of the road safety themes specified, will be disqualified from the competition. The closure date for entry is 5:00pm, 1st July 2026. Entries received after this date will not be considered.

A cash prize and trophy will be awarded to the winning school and presented at the live event in August. 2nd and 3rd place will also receive a cash prize awarded to the school.
